Left-wing reporter Greg Palast argues that the new Arizona law has nothing to do with stopping illegal immigration and everything to do with targeting the Hispanic US citizens in the state - nearly 30% of Arizonans - who vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Hi,
I apologize if I am asking a repeat question.
I received my green card a few months ago but my family haven't received their's yet. As a result they are still using EAD and/or Advance Parole documents. I am considering a job change and in that context I have two questions:
1. Are there any gotchas that I should be aware of - given that my family's cases haven't been approved yet.
2. If I do change jobs, can I apply for EAD and Advance Parole documents for my family on my own? Meaning, without going through the employer.

Hi,
When I entered USA on L2 dependent spouse visa,my passport was expiring on 15 Sept 2008 and hence my I-94 got departure date as 15 sept 2008. After that i applied for an L2-EAD with the old passport and I-94 (both having expiry date as 15-sept-08)and hence i got the L2-EAD which also expires on 14-sept 2008.
Now I have renwed my passport which is valid upto 2018 and want my EAD to be renewed.
Can someone tell me L2 EAD expiry date depends on I-94 records or does it depend on my spouses L1 or on my new passport expiry date...or may be out of all these which ever expires first....??

My H1 is valid untill Aug 2010 and AP is pending. My spouse is on EAD and her AP approved. We plan to return back to US from a trip overseas in few weeks from now. Is there any issue if I use my H1 and spouse uses her AP. My AP is pending over 3 months now.
My H1 LCA has two work locations. Primary being NJ and PA secondary. NJ is the port of re-entry. I have letter from my company, which is based out of NJ and a client letter based in PA to support my continual services.
Help appreciated.

Last month dates were 7 Jan 2005.
This month dates are 22 Jan 2005.
Still the reported Jan 2005 approvals(, IV ) etc are less than 5.
Not sure whats happening to these

My wife H1B was approved under Consular Processing. She got job offer now and it is a Consulting job to Hire. We applied COS at CSC by Premium processing. Reached application on Sep 28 and Status is Acceptance by then.
1 ) Everything is genuine and in the client letter it is mentioned as 6 Months contract to hire. Are there any posibbilities of getting H1B approved for only 6 months from now.
2 ) Are there any chances of rejection
3) Sincle past week it is under "Acceptance" stage. I know i have to be patient.
4) Can we expect some decision from them this week as client is waiting.
5) At what time CSC updates the case. Is there any particular time they update the case online.

I found some information that I believe could be beneficial in knowing the status of the pending I-140 case (also for I-485)
This is called TSC Streamline procedure and a url link is given below.
Based on that, AILA attorneys can send an email notice about the pending I-140 info. It seems like the application should have been filed prior to the processing date that shows up for I-140 for TSC. It looks like there is no 30 day window imposed as in the case of Service Requests.
This email is supposed to inform USCIS about our pending I-140!

I entered U.S with B1/B2 visa and got changed into F1 status. While F1 status got approved
I departed U.S due to family matter.
Now I'd like to make it sure that my B1/B2 visa is still valid,because I plan to visit to my friend who lives in U.S.
How to check my B1/B2 visa could be remained still valid?

The Washington Post reports on data released from the Border Patrol.
