It is time now we ask USCIS about this information. More than DOS or DOL it is the USCIS who has all this information in their bags like how many applications they have from high chargeability countries, of which year and which categories. So we stop predicting and be ready for the real....
With all the revenue and system they have, do you think this is so tough to streamline? I doubt.
They can, at the minimum, have the cases in sequence, process per FIFO, control PD movements logically. The minimum they can do, easily.

Getting a loan from ICICI is very easy and convenient, but they rip you off on interest rates. So you have to evaluate the pros and cons. HDFC gives better rates and pretty reasonable service. Bottomline : its a trade off between interest rates and the service(ease of getting loans).
Just for fyi.. I have a loan with ICICI and pretty happy with my deal.

It is good to know someone with PD Aug 2004 in EB3 from India is getting approval. This gives me confidence that there are not many people waiting in line when the doors open in Oct 2007 with new quota.:)

No this does not apply to 485. It affects only immigrant 140 petition for alien worker.

there is a disturbing section in there:
Gaps in Green Card Availability � Immigrant visa petitions filed after May 15, 2007 on the basis of the current employment-based preference system will be rejected. � During the period between May 15, 2007 and the date the new merit based system is up and running (likely October 1, 2008), no new employment-based green card applications can be filed.
Any validity to this claim ?
If so, Does this mean that all I-485 that can be filled with the latest jump in priority date will be voided ?

I got my EB2 Labor certified today, and now my lawyer is preparing EB2 140 as an interfile into my existing EB3 485.
Is this recommended or should we do regular premium 140 and request date porting once its approved?
If we do decide to do interfile now during 140 application. Is it advisable to do premium processing?

My attorney and company (both) received copy of Approval Notice. One thing I noticed is Priority Date on Approval Notice is my EB3 Priority Date( October 2003 ). Can we use the I-485 receipt notice for extension of DL for my wife. She was on H4 which expires Oct 20. She plans to use the EAD card to work and we will not extend her H4 unless EAD does not come before Oct 20. She got a letter from DMV yesterday asking for additional proof for extended stay. Also will EAD suffice as evidence?

They completely screw up the FIFO for Indians and Chinese within Indian & Chinese applicants. Luckily the FBI namecheck nightmare is over which will restore some sanity. There are many people who have to wait for years due to USCIS inefficiency.
I know an Indian case where PD was current and USCIS screwed up. He had to sue USCIS to get it fixed.

Such evidence may include , but is not limited to, a statement from the dol explaining the interpretation of the term as certified, copies of the petioner's recruitment documentation and/or evidence that no U.S. applicant's for the position who posses the same or similar qualification as the beneficiary wer disqualified from selection
